I recently won 2nd place for this drawing in an exhibit at The Sketch Club of Philadelphia. The theme of the show was "Miniatures", and when I read about it I thought of doing a drawing using techniques I developed and used a lot 25 years ago. Doing a miniature would be a way to see if my eyes, hands, and patience were still up to the task of this way of working. It was interesting to see where all the years since have made a difference both technically and in composition. Below is a drawing I did in 1983 for comparison.
